Para m\u00ed no dejaba de ser la en\u00e9sima aventura atmosf\u00e9rica en lides del black metal proveniente de Estados Unidos. En concreto, desde Portland, en Maines, la misma ciudad que alberga a los conocidos <strong>Agalloch<\/strong>. Pero mucho es el respeto que profeso a Harold Niver, la mano que empu\u00f1a la plumilla en ese webzine. Desde entonces, no he cesado en mis escarceos con el que fue su disco m\u00e1s loado en 2011.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cosas que me hubiera gustado leer por ah\u00ed all\u00e1 en 2011: que\u00a0<em><strong>The light that dwells in rotten wood<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0es un \u00e1lbum con tres grandes c\u00e1nticos, separados por piezas m\u00e1s cortas dominadas por la ac\u00fastica. Instrumento que orquesta al resto a lo largo de todo el minutaje, dicho sea de paso. Que es un disco dominado por la sonoridad de una portentosa y variada secci\u00f3n de percusi\u00f3n: tambores, tumbadoras, tri\u00e1ngulos y hasta campanas (y en general con unas l\u00edneas de bater\u00eda repletas de fills). En la que hay que destacar un sonido de caja abierta que es todo un acierto a la hora de a\u00f1adir epicidad a los cortes. Y que no es muy dif\u00edcil diferenciar los fraseos de bajo, guitarra y bater\u00eda ya en las primeras escuchas. No se busca un sonido enteramente homog\u00e9neo, sino que su producci\u00f3n fomenta la percepci\u00f3n diferenciada de cada instrumento.<\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 42px;\" src=\"http:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=3772722519\/size=small\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=2ebd35\/t=3\/transparent=true\/\" height=\"240\" width=\"320\" seamless=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Echando la vista atr\u00e1s, efectivamente puede que nos encontremos ante un gran y quiz\u00e1s poco conocido disco de black metal atmosf\u00e9rico. Sin notables carencias y con facilidad para hacer que nos quedemos colgados de la belleza que rezuman sus composiciones. Una belleza que queda fijada en su inolvidable portada. Un disco sin grandes pretensiones, pero que se las apa\u00f1a para llegar a absolutamente todos los rincones de tu coraz\u00f3n. Para todas las bandas hay un momento de justicia: este mismo a\u00f1o seremos testigos de un nuevo larga duraci\u00f3n y un EP compartido con <strong>Panopticon<\/strong> v\u00eda <strong>Bindrune recordings<\/strong>. \u00c9ste es su momento de verdad.
